The Last Days on Mars starts out really well and promising. It reminded me of Alien and was expecting something of that nature. If not for some flaws. It is hard to like the characters. We barely know them and what we know is so cliché I tuned them out because it would distract me from enjoying. The initial tension that gets build leads to nothing surprising. If anything all of the events are predictable to a second and it makes you wonder why wonderful actors like Liev Schreiber, Elias Koteas and Olivia Williams are present. They make you believe there is more to the plot which there isn't and in the end you resent them for not fulfilling their promise of substance. The zombies are redeeming factors but make very little sense and only seem to be used because they are popular. I don't have problems with this. Would it have hurt though to add some originality to the. Give it a watch when there nothing else is on. Some of you might regret watching this because they expected more. If you did not expect that much then it can be a decent watch.
