George P. Cosmatos might not have made a lot of films. The ones he did make were all top notch as far as I can tell. And judging solely on his commentary on Cobra he must have been a fun guy to be around. Sadly he passed away at the age of 64. Listed are all the titles he was involved in as a director.
(I have found out that George P. Cosmatos apparently was a ghost director and for some projects might be a director in name only. For Cobra it was really Sylvester Stallone himself who directed the film. For Tombstone it was Kurt Russel. That makes George P. Cosmatos quite the storyteller. In his commentary track on the blu-ray for Cobra he tells tales as if he did direct the film. But assuming he did direct the other films he must have had some proper skills since Of Unknown Origin and Leviathan as far as I am concerned are good horror flicks.)
