Review Justice league: War (2014): I had a lot of fun watching it!

genre: animation, action, adventure, science fiction, super hero

As I understand Justice League: War is a rebooted origin story of the Justice League (click on this link to read more about The New 52). And while I don't know much about the reasons behind it I have to say that I did enjoy this adaptation more than I think I would. Personally I get a little tired of the whole concept of rebooting, re imagining or reinventing established stories. Please just stick with original ones and try to use some clever writing for a change. But in this case it worked out. Anyways, back to the review.

Justice League War is an origin story where the super heroes we are familiar with are shown in a new light. At times that was comical but sometimes a little confusing. It's actually a little hard to see the characters you know have gone through these changes that I am not sure of if they are good. However this animated movie doesn't give you time to mourn or be sad about it. It distracts you with action and spectacle that for the most part was really enjoyable. It also does not really bother to explain some critical developments which I think would have been nice. Especially in relation to Victor Stone becoming Cyborg. I think that needed to be taken more seriously. But all in all the minutes went by real fast and I had a lot of fun watching it. It's an easy watch for people who aren't really into comic books. Plus the animation is gorgeous. So I think this will appeal to a larger audience. I would say worth your time!
