Let's Be Cops might not have the most original plot but it does what it is supposed to do. Which is make you laugh. The jokes are a little predictable and far from clever but very effective. I think the way this movie was directed deserves some credit also. Whenever it seemed like that a scene overstayed it's welcome they next one came. I can't tell you how refreshing that was. Eat your heart out 22 Jump Street. This is how it should be done. This done not mean that Let's Be Cops is without flaws. I think it focused a little too much on the crime and action elements and too less on the potential the premise had. Two guys pretending to be cops and patrolling like they belong should have resulted in sharper jokes. The increasing brutality and abuse of current police officers comes to mind. But I guess the film makers didn't want to make it political. I understand that and do respect it. Overall Let's Be Cops is an enjoyable comedy that will entertain you throughout.
