Casa de mi Padre is completely in Spanish. And Will Ferrell had to learn Spanish just for this film which might be one of the reasons why Casa de mi Padre works so well as a parody off a Spanish soap opera or telenovela. While the whole idea itself is over the top. The delivery of the comedy is very subtle. It rarely has moments that will make you burst out in laughter. But since everything is played out at as serious as possible throughout the movie it all has a very silly feel to it. Which is something you like or not. Maybe not up to the standards of say Anchorman or Talladega Nights:The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Still very Will Ferrellisch. You know what I mean.
