Rich in atmosphere, but fails to deliver the goodies I want from a horror film. Real shame if you ask me. The production values were decent, and the acting was quite good. But everything else was sub-par.
I read an interview that went deep into the rituals and explain the important elements of those rituals. And while I appreciate someone explaining them after the fact, at the time of watching it doesn't matter much. Since the gist of it is apparent. Most of the people perform these rituals to gain something they desire at the cost of their of other people's souls. The focus should be on the horror as a consequence of taking part in black magic. If you want me to never do this ever, then you better make sure, to terrify people.
This film fails to do this. So don't even bother watching this.
